looks like 3sep kkh group is full? sinky, given you are shooting for 3sep kkh departure, do you have a firmer date in mind for a burma crossing?

i'm wondering if a later departure group/individual would still be able to link up with a burma crossing somehow

kim, looking back on the pricing breakdown for kkh crossing, i assume that rider visa/entry requirements into china are covered as well? so its just personal expenses (food, accom, fuel, etc) and guide's tip that need to be factored as extra? i wonder if there will be budget conscious options at the intended stops...

Hi Sinky, yep October 12 would work quite nicely for us. We could do anything up to about a week earlier than this, but would prefer no later than the 12th.

Groups not full, as I said there is not a limit I just thought that if we had enough people to make it two groups things might work out easer. I will post the quote below which lists what is included but basically, we need to arrange and pay for our own Visas, food accommodation and gas PLUS the food and accommodation for the guid (plus tips).

Christian & Jose Emilio Agote
Hi, welcome to the thread.
I have updated the second post in this thread and added your proposed enter dates. Hopefully someone will come along who has similar plans. Or maybe someone from this group will change their plans and want to go earlier / later.

Hello everybody and thanks Kim for the post.

I am Jaime, from Spain.

I still don't have fixed dates, but hopefully i could either join first or second group, so, i will follow the link and update my situation asap.

Just in case, i contacted an agency with included all the expenses at 1.750 $ for one bike. Maybe the price for 4 could be better than the one we already have.

Just let me know if you need further information.

The budget is the one that follows. It adds 2.319 $, but i had a counter offer at 1.750 $

Just check that it includes Hotels.

Quote for 1 pax with 1 motor bike:

Documents fee for motor bikes. 500.$ / bike (Includes Xinjiang Regoinal Athourization letter fee, Approval letter from Regoinal Department of Immigration office, Approval letter from Regional police department, approval letter from The committee of Port Supersision and Approval letter from Regoinal Toursim Beraue)

Health secreening fee: 8.3$/person

Translation fee for documents: 33.$/person

Fee for getting temperary lycense and temperary number plate :33.$/person

Service fee for documents: 200.$/Group

Vehicle examination fee: 43.$/bike

Vehicle decleration fee: 100.$/bike/time x 2times = 200.$

Insurance fee: 6.6.$ /bike ( above 250 CC)

Tour Guiding Fee: 83.$/day x 4days =332.$

Guiding vehicle fee:700.$ (Entry from Irkeshtam to Kashgar and Kashgar to Tashkurgan)

Hotel in Kashgar a twin room.(double bed bases.) 50.$/day/room x 2days =100.$

Hotel in Tashkorgan twin room. (double bed bases.) 50.$/day/ room x 1day =50.$

Hotel fee for guide and driver in Tashkurgan:42./day/room x 1room x 1day=42.$

Meals fee for guide and driver 9.$/person/day x 2person x 4days = 72.$

Total:2319.9 .$

I have a range Rover and would be interested in doing the trip and carry the guide so a separate vehicle would not have to be hired as I did for the trip that wuming organized in 2012.

Hi, we're planning a trip through Central Asia and our second last leg goes from irkeshtsm pass to kashgar to Khunjerab pass. We'll be travelling in a land cruiser so we can also take the guide with us in our vehicle. Our estimated time to this was mid august 2015. We'll be very interested in sharing the costs and travelling convoy style for this leg
