Recommendations for travel insurance

I am having trouble finding a travel insurance policy that covers motorcycles larger than 250cc for my trip to Argentina and Chile in Jan/Feb 2020
Does anyone have any recommendations?

So what are the policy differences they gave you? They clearly state in the fine print:

Motorcycling (on road, provided You hold an appropriate full licence and are wearing a helmet, max 14 days any one Trip

Also:
In addition to the activities listed above, the following activities will also be covered on an amateur basis and are subject to a 50% premium load....
...Motorcycle Touring in Europe only;

Curious minds want to know...

Of course I hope you've found the insurance you need for your trip.

It does seem kind've important to remember that no promise, no statement, no assertion exists until it's committed in writing within a legally-binding contract. There are a variety of reasons why a phone representative might offer something which turns out false, not limited to ignorance, a desire to please, crass self-interest (agents earn percentages of whatever they sell), and the imprecision of spoken language.

All of which is to say that I'm also curious about the details. You could do a real service to others reading here by posting more about what your phone call revealed, along with who you talked to.

So far, so good. I’m intrigued by the fact that it covers, for example, damage to your boots(!).

As a minor quibble, that is not your policy; it’s a description of a policy, which will be longer and a lot more detailed. For example, there will be deductibles to apply, and an application to fill out which, as I understand it, will include a listing of any existing medical conditions.

Still interested in hearing more, but glad you’ve found something which sounds well-suited.

I have looked into Navigator Insurance Standard Longstay policy, which seems to fit the bill.

Questionnaire was done on the phone. I had to call another number about pre-existing medical conditions- paid another £10 to cover any treatment arising from high cholesterol, for which I am currently taking statins. For an extra £7, I removed the excess, which seems a good deal.

This policy doesn't cover North America, but, as I am not going there, is not a problem for me. I believe you can cover North America, but for an additional, presumably hefty, premium.
