Hi Dusty,
Thanks for correcting my indication of the type of bike. I indicated this tyoe, beacause I am used to ride it (also not to "adventurous" dirt road), but would also ride a confortable touring, but not interested in a sport. I am 1.94 cm tall and want to sit comfortable (not with my knees around my ears), and I am not a racer.
I am thinking of early to mid april to start. Want to visit my daughte, living in Apollo Bay (VIC) for a week or two and make a nice trip. So starting point could be the whole eastern coast (Brisbane, Sydney, etc)
Regards,
Thijs

I get you . Long distance require a comfortable bike. Just mentioning the local names for these bikes. We call the R1200GS an adventure tourer but we know most of them never see gravel.
The dates are wrong for me to lend you my DR 650. I need it for Mid April as I have organized a DR gathering at that time. It sounds like you are looking for a bigger bike anyway. If you're going to Apollo Bay you will be experiencing one of the most famous scenic roads in Australia.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
