It's bloody cold here this morning, and I was only wearing a dressing gown! I didn't want to get frostbite
Centres between the lugs are just over 100mm - 102 or 103. And I don't think it is an adapter plate. It's the carrier plate that the sliding pins mount onto.
I really have a choice between drilling the pin out and replacing it with a through-bolt, and replacing the whole caliper. A new caliper seems the easiest route, especially as the pistons are starting to corrode. A s/h one in decent nick would do me fine. Those pins are made of the hardest metal known to man. Stud extractors can't get a grip in it, and the drill is just bouncing off. The annoying bit is that I had them out for a pad change a few months ago and gave them a proper greasing with copperslip when I put them back. But the hex at the top is just that little bit too slack, and when I got the Allen key in it - oops.
