xt600 Turn singal Lights stay on they do not blink?
Hello I have a 1984 xt600 when I turn on either the right or left turn singal, the turn light, lights up but does not blink they stay on.
On my xt350 their is a relay under the seat but I could not find the relay on the 600?
I found a flasher behind the headlight housing.
Not sure what to go after here.
thanks

Hi there.
I've also had this problem before.
In my case, the Y-piece connector for both rear blinkers that is located between the rear fender and the rear license plate holder plastic wasfull of rust.
There was also a connector on the wiring just a little past from the flasher unit that was also corroded, the cable was black and full of rust so I replaced that part of the cable.it was about 25cm of wire.
After that, flasher units worked wonderfully!
BuT, after that I did clean all the wiring connections just to be on the safe side..

My TTR600 has the relays under the tank!
Odds on (if not a wrong wattage bulb) dodgy connection - loose or corroded as Bacardi23 says!

Check if you have the right bulb inside.

A bulb could be out, that's the first thing to check.
I installed LED signals on mine and had to get a lower resistance flasher relay to make them flash again.

If the indicators don't flash it can either be a faulty flasher unit or a failed bulb(s). If either of the bulbs don't come on then check the bulb or the wiring to it. You can easily check the bulbs by either sapping them around or across the battery. If a bulb isn't lighting but tests out OK then it can only be the bulb holder or the wiring.
The only way to check a flasher unit is by replacement.
I hope this helps and good luck!

They are Led blinkers and I have a new led flasher relay but I still can't find what's going on...
Well, I thought I knew, my bike is an USA import and their blinkers have 3 wires...
The lights stayed on all the time and would still flash brighter similar to the rear brake light...
I've changed the wires but they still didn't flash..
Might my LED flasher relay not be good enough?
It did cost me 10€ and came from germany...

I hadn't realised they're LEDs. I know that you need a different flasher unit, which you have, but all other principles remain the same. The only other thing to remember is that because the overall amperage present in the circuit is so low, it is more likely that any problem caused by a poor connection will be exagerrated, meaning that it is even more important to ensure all connections are as clean as possible.

ohhhhh....
So that explains it!
I'll try to clean the connection more properly this time...
Thanks Geoff!
