Now you can't have it both ways
If the LEFT mirror is a conventional thread, it will loosen when pushed backwards - good in a fall, bad if pushed by the wind.
If the RIGHT mirror is a conventional thread, it will tighten when pushed backwards - bad in a fall, good if pushed by the wind.
Does that make sense?
I'm still convinced that it is the left mirror that has the LH thread  but the bike is under a tarpaulin and I am working nights this week, so I won't be able to check for a few days. No doubt I will be wrong.
