Yes. A bit of steel 0.01mm thick is almost like kitchen foil, it'll bend easily. They'll usually come as a pack with a faster through like a Swiss Army knife. You build up the number in the manual by adding them together., so 0.03 is made of the 0.01 and 0.02. There is nothing wrong with taking them out of the bundle and only carrying the ones you need. If you need to bend one to get it under the tappet that's fine but only "feel" on an unbent bit. A running fit means slides back and forth with two fingers holding it, but you can feel the drag. Slack is better than tight.
