I mean come on now, massive round of applause please for this lady, fantastic effort with ‘Ahem’ quite a few blokies trailing behind @ 14th position after 8 stages, ok she’s on a works Ktm but none the less a great achievement and good luck with the rest of the rally...!!!

After stage 11 she is 13th overall in the general standings with an 18th place in this stage, fantastic effort yet again Laia....!!

She is one very tough rider. She crashed twice yesterday, one quite nasty. She got right up, brushed herself off, got back on the bike and continued. I'm betting she is pretty sore today.

I think she does Yoga to stay so flexible.

Cool Dakar 2019

WOW...!!! A year has passed, way too quick for me like....!!!

So Ladies (...and gents of course), have you got your Dakar on this year..??

Just had a quick tot up of ladies riding this year and I think I'm right in saying we have five entries for 2019 with Laia top rider.

Miriam Pol (55), Anastasiya Nifont (56), Gabriela Nov0tna (57) and Sara Garcia (98). Good luck Ladies...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
