I Do not think there is a 'bad' bike in production... as you say, just kidding... Although my BMW has Stopped me completing a journey twice in less than 2 months, thus doubling the number of breakdowns I have experienced since 1961....Prior to that my last incompleted journey was in the winter of 1961/2,also a puncture. In those days I was riding Triumphs, But I cant blame the bike which is 23 years old. First was my first ever electrical fault. the main cable chafed and shorted to ground in a thunderstorm killing the battery. This last one was a two month old tube failing Any of my old Triumphs would have been able to continue without a battery, but not the BMW with electronics
It is a fine line trying to balance reliabilty versus survivability.
What is the best tube brand ?
