Hello from Portugal!

Hi everyone! My name is Gabriel Martins - Gabe - and i currently live at Porto, Portugal. I was born in São Paulo - Brasil, and got to live in Italy and Greece when i was a child, before settling down here.

After many years lurking around and contributing now and then on ADV Rider, i finally took the time to be a part of the HUBB Family.

Hoping to enjoy the riding tales from all over the world, as well as all the knowledge that is shared around!

Cheers,

Gabe

Hi Gabe!

Do you have any more details/reports of your travels in West Africa? I'll be travelling there in 2018.

Hey Dave, i opened up a thread about the trip, but it's mostly a photo one. You can take a look here:

http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...akar-off-91058

I have written a book about the trip, it's available on sale at the "Books" section page (Amazon), but it is all in portuguese... it's called "Um Peixe no Deserto", basically "a fish in the desert". Here's a preview about it:

But feel free to send me any questions, i'm not very experienced on overlanding, but maybe i can help in some way.

Hello to all, my name is Ronen Stolarski and we are a group of 8 Israeli riders from Israel intended to come on 9th of may 2019 riding in Portugal for 10 days starting from Lisbon to the north through to mountains and back to Lisbon along the shore. We will be glad to get any information about the weather, places to visit along the road and any good advices.
We already rent the bikes (BMW R750GS) and intend to slip along the road in a B&B or Vila we will rent every day.
Thanks for any comments.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
