Traveling through Bosnia and Serbia
Hi all,
I am planning a motorbike trip through Europe. I will cross some countries on the Balkans as well and my insurance covers all apart from Bosnia and Serbia. I have checked some similar posts here but they were a bit old and I was not sure how relevant the information is.
My insurance provider does not provide green cards so I settled with buying temporary insurance from the border controls. I have done some research and know that not all of them give these but couldn't find a list of border controls which give temporary insurance. I am originally from Bulgaria but I live in the UK and have UK insurance and bike with UK number plate.
My plan was to drive to Dubrovnik coming through Croatia from the north and then cross Bosnia, to get in Serbia. I would like to know if any of the Bosnian border controls near Neum and Ivanica provide temporary insurance. And then if the Kotroman border control provides Serbian insurance? Or is it better to cross just the Batrovci border control for Serbia and not go through Bosnia (I'd rather not do that as I want to travel around a bit more). In addition, I have heard that a one week insurance costs around 10 euros can somebody confirm that as well? Much appreciated!
Cheers
