It sounds like you have some great options with your Canadian vehicle, but I can see how it might be tricky with EU regulations. If I were in your shoes, I'd lean towards buying a vehicle in Portugal. Even though it feels more expensive upfront, having a local car could save you a lot of hassle in the long run. That said, storing your Canadian vehicle sounds like a good idea, too.
