Siberia: road of bones to Magadan in June+July
On June 25 or 26, 2014 I will start at Ulaanbaatar (UB) Mongolia and will go to Russia, Siberia heading north to Yakutsk and Magadan. Would be more than great if someone would join me on the "road of bones". My plan is to be back in UB in 3 weeks. I ride a BMW Paris Dakar built in 1995. "My enthusiasm is bigger than my fear" nevertheless I feel that it is necessary that someone is around when doing this extreme tour. Hopefully someone joins.

How and when are you getting to UB? I would be interested if you were starting a month later because I will not get to Mongolia until at least the first week in July.

My bike is already in Oasis Guesthouse in Ulaanbaatar / Mongolia because I left it there last year. I have already the airplane ticket to Ulaanbaatar (UB) and arrive there at June 23. As my vacation is limited to 3 weeks I need to head for Yakutsk and Magadan asap. There will be around 8000km from UB to Magadan and back. I need to go back to UB because in Mongolia it is possible to leave again my bike for another year. So I have to hurry and can not wait for you but we will see on the road when coming back from Magadan. Karl

Hi Karl,
Just out of interest, how much is it costing you to keep your bike at Oasis?
We might bump into you around Tynda on your way back.
Cheers

We should be there about that time. Would like to meet up and then join you. We will peel off East and catch our ferry at Vlad. You keep going North.
We are in Omsk and should be Baikal in a week or so.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
