Riding the TAT September 2015

Hopefully if all goes to plan I will ride the Trans American Trail this September.
I will fly to Tennessee and buy a small trail/road bike (Honda 250cc) is preferred option. Then hit the TAT for about 4 weeks arriving on the west coast.
It would be good to have some company along the way and also a bit safer too. Anyone out there got similar plans?

September tat

Hi, I'm hoping to make it out from Uk to ride tat in September too. I've found that Canada air are Offering bike airfreight for around £650. (So long as u fly with them too). I've a crf260l and (Although a bit of a hike from Toronto on a 250) I hope to be out there - happy to join u for a bit if u make it too!

Ps Have you heard much about riding so late in the year?
Cheers

Will

Hi, Mate. I am flying my bike over to Canada to do the TAT this year. Last year I shipped a bike over for a 8,000 mile road/trail trip but could not do the TAT for various logistical reasons. £350 sounds dirt cheap, which dept of Canada Air do you contact for that? I am aiming to do August rather than September but not fixed in stone yet so we might hook up somewhere.

Hi , I am arriving on August 10 in Montreal via Air Canada, not as cheap as yours but at £787 half the price of any other carrier around and my own ticket was £390 so that was good too. I guess I will be a long way into the trail by the time you arrive so we probably wont hook up but you never know. What bike are you bringing?

I'm shipping my bike from London to Atlanta on August 2nd. I start the TAT on 4th/5th and will take the Ut/Id/Mo/Co loop the Heart of the West as an add-on when I get to Colorado. Anyone starting in Tellico Plains about then?

Hi, turned out it was £650 to ship bike to Toronto... I'm a Honda Crf250l, I wanted something light.p and easy. I'll drop down to Tennessee and pick up the trail there on around the 8th of September. Would be great to hook up with anyone going around that time!
