Swamp:
I'm seeking a partner to ride, I'll also be departing the same date. I will be riding from Quito to Lima. What route and what timming do you plan/spect?
I'm not a newbie but i don't ride very fast either. I'll be travelling on a single-cyl 650 alone, then 2-up with my son from Lima to Cusco!
Let me know, if u are already in Quito, let me know

Great off-road route in Bolivia

Hey guys,

If you are looking at doing some off-road in Bolivia, we just did a 4 day trip taking the back-road from Cochabamba - La Paz. It's about 700kms of dirt, lots of windy mountain roads and water crossings. Here's a link of our blog post about it: Handful Of Throttle: The REAL Death Road of Bolivia

There's also the Che Guevara trail which is another great little ride: Handful Of Throttle: Ruta Del Che

Bolivia is a great country - you'll love it!

saturday

Swamp:
I'll hit the road very early saturday. Still doing some final work so I hope everything works fine for the 21.
I'll be departing from the Machachi valley (Tambillo, only 45 min ride from Quito) and probably we can ride together until Riobamba or Colta.
Hope we meet al least for the firts 200 km.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
