Mexico to Central America trip planned- Amazing Adventures
I have been working on one of the items that has been on my bucket list. My 2016 Central America Adventure Trip. I am looking for additional riders to join me. It doesn't have to be the whole trip. Meet me somewhere and ride for a week.
I would like to leave approximately Monday, February 15, 2016 from Leon, Guanajuato Mexico. The countries that I plan to visit are Guatamala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras and Belize. I am looking at a 30 to 45 day trip. I am really on no set time frame but don't want to do 500 mile days. I will stay in hotels and in the tent in National Parks and on the beach. I don't want this to be a brutal trip.
I will be riding a 2016 Vstrom XT with aluminum panniers and top case. I plan on bringing a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, hammock and cooking supplies. I also plan on having riding clothes, rain gear and 2 sets of clothes.
Some of you guys don't know this but I was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer 2 1/2 years ago and by the grace of God and modern medicine I am in remission. It has been a horrible time but I am thankful that I have learned so much about myself and what is now important to me. It no longer is about the money and saying I will accomplish it someday. Things can change in the blink of an eye!! If this is something that you have always wanted to do, don't put it off. Ask the boss for the time and beg, borrow and steal to make it happen. You can't really can't take it with you and it will have you remembering for the rest of your life all of the memories.
I am a 47 year old red blooded American who resides between Mexico. Los Angeles and Phoenix. Please offer suggestions on places to see, where to stay and what to do. Everything is truly appreciated. I am scouring the boards, libraries and internet finding all the information I can. You can also contact me at lifeofanadventurer@yahoo.com. I also have the domain lifeofanadventurer.com and will be putting something up in the next few weeks.

Hello,
We will be riding from Calgary, AB, Canada to Machu Picchu next March 2016. We will head south through I-15.
It seems to me we can be in touch and eventually ride couple miles together from some point in Mexico or Guatemala. We will take the Panamerican HWY.
I will ship our BMW R1200GS in Panama to Bogota by plane or if I can get a sail boat to Cartagena. From there Quito, Machu Picchu, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentine and returning by the Pacific (Chile).
We are a couple (58/59), rode over 70.000 Miles last 4 years. We can communicate well in Spanish and Portuguese.
Cheers,
John & Gle

Mexico in Jan/Feb from CA/AZ
My plans had to change at the last minute but I am looking to reschedule a trip to central and southern Mexico and maybe farther in late January or February. Looking for riding partner. I have been down Baja and across before but could do again, but mainly interested in the mainland Pacific beaches and central sites. I am 57, retired, limited Spanish, experienced rider and riding a K1600. Anyone similar interests please give me a shout!

Sooscreek, I am leaving from Vancouver island in 2-3 weeks if the weather cooperates. If not I will be looking for a truck or Uhaul down. I plan to explore Central America. Maybe you would like to share a ride south and split the costs? The forecast is not looking good with rain and snow all the way to the mx border.

Nevada to Baja feb 22 March 4 2016
I will be loading a bike ... Likely Honda Varadero, and should arrive February 22 into Nevada, where I will off load my bike. my goal is to travel to Cabo San Lucas and return by March 4th. I will be hotelling it and planned to return via the Baja but would consider taking the ferry across to the main land and returning.

Just messed up a reply so I'll do it here. I'm in Manzanillo, I have an R1200GSA and I'll be going somewhere for a while in January. If any of you want to travel around with an old guy who just finished the Silk Road give me a shout.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
