Mexico and Central America in Jan or Feb.

Hey,

I am planning a trip from Texas through central Mexico and the Yucatan down into central America and back up through Baja. I am pretty flexible with dates. I'd like a riding buddy for security.

I am 49. I like to have a or too after a day of riding. I plan on taking time to see things.

I ride a R1200GS.

Respect, Jeff

Hey Jeff,
I leave San Diego next week to do the reverse of your trip.
Good luck finding a riding buddy - I found one for the first few weeks of my trip which is reassuring for a Mexico virgin.
Might see you on the road,

Matt

I am an American that lives in Guanajuato. 2 hours from Guadalajara. I am planning a trip down to Central America as well. I would need to leave about February 15th. I am 47 years old and have done a lot of traveling. I really want to do a more relaxed trip that doesn't involve 500 mile days. Would you be doing a mix of tents and hotels? If you would like to discuss this further my email is lifeofanadventurer@yahoo.com

Mexico in December and January

FYI. I will be heading down into Mexico from Arizona around the first of December and then riding around for 2 months. January plans are open at the moment as I will head down the west coast in December...Interested in meeting other folks along the way.

Mexico to Central America trip planned- Amazing Adventures

I have been working on one of the items that has been on my bucket list. My 2016 Central America Adventure Trip. I am looking for additional riders to join me. It doesn't have to be the whole trip. Meet me somewhere and ride for a week.

I would like to leave approximately Monday, February 15, 2016 from Leon, Guanajuato Mexico. The countries that I plan to visit are Guatamala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras and Belize. I am looking at a 30 to 45 day trip. I am really on no set time frame but don't want to do 500 mile days. I will stay in hotels and in the tent in National Parks and on the beach. I don't want this to be a brutal trip.

I will be riding a 2016 Vstrom XT with aluminum panniers and top case. I plan on bringing a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, hammock and cooking supplies. I also plan on having riding clothes, rain gear and 2 sets of clothes.

Some of you guys don't know this but I was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer 2 1/2 years ago and by the grace of God and modern medicine I am in remission. It has been a horrible time but I am thankful that I have learned so much about myself and what is now important to me. It no longer is about the money and saying I will accomplish it someday. Things can change in the blink of an eye!! If this is something that you have always wanted to do, don't put it off. Ask the boss for the time and beg, borrow and steal to make it happen. You can't really can't take it with you and it will have you remembering for the rest of your life all of the memories.

I am a 47 year old red blooded American who resides between Mexico. Los Angeles and Phoenix. Please offer suggestions on places to see, where to stay and what to do. Everything is truly appreciated. I am scouring the boards, libraries and internet finding all the information I can. You can also contact me at lifeofanadventurer@yahoo.com. I also have the domain lifeofanadventurer.com and will be putting something up in the next few weeks.

Hi there, I also plan a trip through Mexico and Central America leaving mid January from Vancouver island. Problem is the weather here isn't nice that time of year so I'll have to wait for a good weather window to make it down the coast. I have a vstrom 650 and am flexible with dates. Don't mind being alone but it would be nice to also have riding buddies! The bike and gear are ready but I don't have an exact route planned. Also I'm not sure if it's worth taking camping gear. Feel free to contact me to discuss your plans.
Cheers!
Vincent
