Carpathians from May until Sept. 2016

I (m/41) intend to travel in the Carpathians next year. I m gonna use a Peugeot Boxer to transport my motorcycle (a KTM EXC 350), starting in Tyrol / Austria.

I d love to share this travelling experience (including climbing - i.e. walking;-) - some mountains) with someone else.

There is still space left in the Boxer (to transport another bike) ;-)

Thanks in advance for your feedbacks/ideas

hi Mike
This sounds not bad . Can you precise the route ?
Walking is ok
and flying too( paraglider) . so this might be a multi-activities trip .
I dont want to take too hard pistes with my DRZ .
I like to stop often just to enjoy the raid
ans i practice perso training every morning ( 20 minutes) .
The 3d point in not negociable ot I could not ride in good conditions

No precise idea yet. Just looking for some nice mountains, and good offroad trails. Wherever they might be.

> Walking is ok and flying too( paraglider)

Flying sounds great!

> I dont want to take too hard pistes with my DRZ .

That can be figured out somehow, I guess (hard is relative anyway).

> I like to stop often just to enjoy the raid

Same here. The idea is to use hostals ... as "basecamps". Stay there for quite a while, if we like the place. And go to the mountains / offroad trails from there as "day trips".

> ans i practice perso training every morning ( 20 minutes)

Same here, although I m usually done in less than 10 minutes

Does not having a precise idea regarding the route bother you? How much time will you have? ...?

Maybe it is best to interchange details via email? My address is karpaten2016@outlook.com

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
