Friday Afternoon?
Hi Maria,
Multimap shows it should take about two hours (on the M1, anyway) so I'm thinking about leaving from London mid-afternoon to avoid taking a day off work, hopefully arriving in time for the 'Roadkill Cookout' Would be great to ride with you guys if the timing works out.
See ya,
James (Annette's flatmate)

James, I've taken Friday off so planning to leave early Friday. Should take me 3 1/2 hours to get there as I will need to cross London at rush hour! (I'm located in south west London).
Hey guys, to make the ride more interesting, let's play a game in the motorway. Let's do a "spot the HU sticker" (for those of us who bought one!) I will stick mine on my top bax I think!
And if you have a bike to bike, we're normally on channel 7!
See you on the road

Wow. I'm impressed so many of you know when you'll be leaving, so far in advance.
Doesn't it depend on how much you've had to drink the night before.. what the weather's like.. if you need to pop down the laundrette to wash (and dry) some underwear for the weekend...?
I'll *probably* setting off on Thursday, but at the speed I ride some of you leaving on Friday may stil get there before me.

Friday
Turns out that I am working in Slovenia on Thursday and not flying back until early Friday morning so hopefully will be heading up mid-morning. Or might just wait until James goes up in the afternoon and not take the day off work. With only 3 days of leave left until the end of the year I am trying to conserve what I have.
See you there,
Annette

Hi Dotcaf,
I got your email but can't reply to it.
I was thinking about leaving mid morning (depending on previous nights activities) and going up and visiting the Peak District National Park in the arvo for a late lunch then head back down to the meet.
This detour is about 150 k's extra on the trip so if that suits you by all means join in.
Sunflowers are you joining the ride on thursday? I sent you a reply email but I'm having problems with my email so not sure if you received it.
Mike have you decided yet or is it best to ask you on thursday morning? Oh and hope your able to get to the laundrette to wash your underwear.
Damon

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
