Anyone coming to Mumbai? Spare parts needed!

Hi,
I'm stuck with the engine totally opened here in India, and my visa is expiring soon...
If you know anybody coming to Mumbai in the next 2 weeks please let me know: I can order the Honda parts and have them shipped to his/her address.

Thank you,
Thomas

The site owners Grant and Susan Johnson are attending an event in Goa (see "Announcements!" to the right of this post) soon.

Yes, I've already asked and Grant gave me a quick and positive reply but... they are leaving the day after tomorrow and probably they don't have Transalp parts in stock over there.
We are trying, but in case of failure: anyone else is coming?

Hi Thomas, if you need an address to ship the parts to in Mumbai let me know. Also, what parts do you need. I can ask around and see if anyone I know can help source them. Where about in Mumbai are you? Is there any other help you need?

Daniel.

Thank you Daniel,
I don't need any address, I was just trying to avoid the shipping to save time and troubles with the custom ($and money$).
And luckily I have a good team here: I'm with the guys of Garage 52 in Bandra... Joshua can probably build from scratch my bike just starting from a sketch!

Aha, You're in good hands then! Would the parts be available in Dubai? A friend of mine is there and will be coming back next weekend. How heavy/ bulky would the parcel be? I could ask him if he could get them

In Dubai they don't keep a proper Honda stock: or you are very lucky or you have to wait for the parts at least 2 weeks... and the wharehouse is just in Abu Dhabi I think!
I'll try to call Bruce at Honda in Shaik Zayed Road in Dubai, please confirm me as soon as you can if your friend could bring me the parts this weekend: it's just the gasket kit.
Please I'm in a rush, let me know something for tomorrow morning (Mumbai time zone).

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
