Surf Boards - Chile/Peru

It was in El Salvador, Central America where I saw the coolest and safest motorcycle carrying a surf board. The bike had a side car and the floor of the side car was the surf board - it slid in from the rear of the side car on rollers.

Very safe, no legal concerns and the weight of the board was close to the ground.

And, the guy had his "surfer woman" in the side car with her feet on the board - so she was sort of surfing along. Really a great set up.

I imagine legal issues depend on the way you are carrying the board and if it ever becomes an issue in court because of an accident.

You can buy new and used Royal Enfield motorcycles in Argentina at the factory and I am sure they will out fit the side car - which they can manufacture with the surf board carrying capacity. Royal Enfield Argentina

I spend a lot of time time with the owners in Laboulaye, Argentina especially the daughter. Great people all !!!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
