Iran By Motor bike UK nationals

Hi
planning to ride Iran for 3 weeks entering via Armenia -once we have the Visa do you think we will have any trouble if we don't have a guide with us but only prebooked guided tours.
Good to hear from any Brits that have travelled through Iran recently

Guide required for Visa

We went through last September but could't even get a visa code without booking the tour.

We used Persian Voyages for the tour and visa code and would highly recommend them. Very personal and professional service.

Iran is our favourite place and with the guide we got to see some places that we wouldn't have necessarily have seen on our own.

Hope you get sorted.

Guide to Iran

Hi
We are wondering about going through Iran, when do you plan to go, if the timings worked out perhaps we could share the costs of a guide. We are in a car with 3 seats so could carry a guide.
My email is sue@nworth.co.uk if you want to contact me.
We are a mature British couple so need to have a guide.
Hope to hear from you
Sue

Iran

Hi Mike
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately the timing won't work for us probably. We hope to leave the UK early July and meet up with a group at the Kyrghistan border about 26th September to share costs through China. We hope to cross the Himalaya before the snow, so we can spend the UK winter in India.
Thanks though
Sue

Guide costs

Sorry meant to say we were quoted 100 USD per day for the guide plus their meals and accommodation, or from a different agency 170 dollars per day, plus our hotel accommodation as we have to stay in hotels rather than our camper apparently.
Hope that helps
Sue

I'm planning to do the same in October 2016 but from Turkey. I'm Spanish national so I don't think I have to book a tour, is this correct?

Thanks!

@daviddgz
you are free for iran.that rule is for GB.,USA., and CAN. passport holders.
ı see you will enter turkey from ipsala..below lines are just information... probably you are aware of them.
1-You can have 90 days with multiple entrance e-visa for turkey online.
2-If your green card covers turkey, no need to buy the road insurance at the gate.otherwise you can buy it at the gate for a short term say 1-2 months.say its a motosiklet if it is..and TTOK.turkish touring club availabe at ipsala gate for insurance and free maps,brochures..
3-you can even enter turkey with only spanish identity card..
All the best for a great trip..
