Facetious answer - I learned how to to have second hand adventures on Facebook and YouTube. In the last year I've been all over the planet riding along with people for whom the words Covid and Lockdown don't seem to apply.
(Slightly) more sensible answer - I've spent the last year replanning a trip that should have taken place in Aug 20 but even in the absence of Covid issues would probably not have happened because I was woefully underprepared. Now, of course, there's no excuse. I've upped my mechanical skills by rebuilding two bikes and now have fingers like wrenches so I hardly need a tool kit. I'm able to judge bolt torques to the nearest Nm at a glance and weld parts together by the power of prayer.
Out of the workshed the lockdown has seen me write (another) travel book, realise which bits of my literary toolkit had come from Poundland and take a few classes to upgrade them to Snap-On. I'm currently working through a list of changes I need to make to some of my travel staples - clothing, luggage etc. Being old school (and not travelling for a living) I don't feel the need to blog, have a social media presence, gather 'followers' like an old testament prophet (or Johnny Depp) so all of that has passed me by - for the time being anyway. But never say never - as they say on Facebook.
