I'm Karl65, and so is my wife!

Just adapting some of the dialogue from the end of Life of Brian.

Every time I post on the hubb I might check later who has replied or who is reading my random drivel. Without fail, hubb user Karl65 is or has recently been "reading" my stuff (depends on when the hubb webserver auto-refreshes itself)

Karl, you have never posted anything on the hubb. You joined in 2013.

Will the real Karl65 please stand up now!

You've probably put him off now! They say that writers regard their output like children so your offspring will now be cast into the cold of an uncaring universe, to wander alone in the darkness for eternity

Personally I'm always amazed that anyone would want to read my disconnected, stream of consciousness, ramblings and so far I've not been disappointed.

To Karl65 I say, jump ship mate. Swap over to reading my drivel instead. There are plenty of orphans that need a good home.

Some 'parents' care more than others ... many words are let run free ... use caution with these

I long ago gave up caring regarding the quality of my utterances on t'nternet, so my many many mutant offspring will just have to sort their own sh!t themselves. Just because I can communicate in the medium of written English doesn't make me a "writer" anyway!

To Karl: You will have to choose between me and BoB. A "like" for me is one for loud pipes and vulgarity, for him it's peace, tranquility and the soft purr of a Honda Goldwing...

Make the right choice, I plead with you

I'm Carl, but my wife is not.

You're a funny guy Chris. I like to read your stuff.
I am not as knowledgeable as you, so I don't post as much.

That's pretty hilarious actually. Also kind of weird. You have no idea at all who it might be?

I have one or 2 ideas A troll? A stalker? Someone who thinks I'm wise and clever... and fast? Someone who reads everyone's posts, including mine?

At this second he's interested in a DR650 in Foz do Iguacu...

Chris? Are you bored? Get a job or a girlfriend or start riding again! Or go to the pub and talk to people

The wisdom of Chris

Karl65 is posting every time he logs in to read the wisdom of Chris. If he just wanted to experience the brilliance and exciting life of Chris he could just as well peruse away without logging in. Karl's Mark (bad pun intended) is that he logs in.

Karl65 would be listed as one of the many "guests" availing themselves of the wisdom of Chris, if he did not log in. The message is clear. He,... like the minions of his namesake keep tract.

Just read more Chris if you don't understand this.

Yes. Had a job. That was the source of the boredom. Met one or 2 Mexican ladies but they thought I was the Messiah. It took them a little while to realise I wasn't. Just v naughty.

Hope

Sure Chris, the post you referenced is all about hope. Hope that it is possible to work hard, save money and tour the world by motorcyle. And one more thing, it is possible to understand that the powerful, the controllers, do not always get it right, that the common man can observe reality and understand it, see it clearly, without the bias of the bought and paid for media. And, once and a while describe it to others.

thanks for asking. xfiltrate

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
