Exclamation New Requirement for vehicles entering Indonesia under Carnet

New Requirement for vehicles entering Indonesia under Carnet... Currently in Singapore and yesterday we visited the AA to have our carnets 'endorsed' for leaving the island back to Malaysia (another long story, the gist of which is don't bring your bike to Singapore - more trouble than it is worth. By all means visit this lovely place but leave the bike in Malaysia

The lovely lady at the AA advised us of a new 'report' to be filled in, without which you may be denied entry. It isn't too odious - they just want a formal collection of copies of Carnet, Passport, Visa, Vehicle Logbook and photos of the vehicle. You need to email this in advance to 'IMI' and get their approval. I have prepared a Word copy of the form (single A4 sheet) so you can fill it in and email as a single document.Indonesian Vehicle Report.docx)

I just left indonesia and I wouldn't worry too much about the dates for the itinerary (if you still need them), I was about ten days off for entry and way off for exit and had no problems with customs who were friendly and efficient the whole way. We even went out for s a couple of nights!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
