Wild camping across the USA?

Does anyone successfully wild camp on trips across the USA? And if so, any tips on how you do it?

On my trips across the US, almost every paved road seems to have fences running down it either side, which obviously means the land is owned and you can't camp there even if you can figure out a way past the fence. Maybe it is only possible to wild camp if you're a very long way from paved roads, riding trails?

You may need to head west where there are millions of acres of BLM and forestry land.

https://freecampsites.net/ is one and there are other similar sites. Obviously US being car and RV-centric, a lot of them are more set up for RVs as they can be a long walk in but there is plenty of choice for tenters as well.
Our first trip to the US was 4 months (we have a 35' Class A motorhome) and we spent only one night in a commercial campground and very few that we had to pay any money for. Municipal Campsites, Engineer Corps, BLM, Forestry dispersed camping - all cheap or free and there are thousands of them

Not only in the USA either. A very small sample of some of ours at https://get.google.com/albumarchive/...aDxXw-TqICg7hF

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
