Good shipping company to Europe

Hi there
this is my first post
i would like to know if any one used a shipping company to ship his bike to Europe & ride it there for few weeks then ship it back to Dubai. as i am thinking to ether ride it or shipping i would make the math to choose the best for my budget.
how much it will cost to ship the bike 2 ways.

Stephano

Hi Saleh
Welcome to the HUBB.

Sorry I don't know very much about shipping costs because I haven't used shippers from here before. I'd be very happy to meet up. I'll send you my mobile number in a private message.

Best wishes,
Stephan

shipping

hi there (& hello stephan!),

i flew a DR from dubai to europe last year and paid 1000 euro incl crating etc. i'm not sure who we shipped with, but prices were fairly the same for most shippers. actually i think it was al italia - we just walked into their office at dubai cargo village and took it from there. all european destinations are more or less the same price

hope that helps
g

Hi Gaea
What a coincidence... I got to see a copy of your book today in Dubai.

I couldn't understand much Dutch but the photography is fantastic.

There is a Bike Festival in Dubai next weekend. There is a shipper listed on this page:
Welcome to Gulf Bike Festival 2010-The International Festival of Bikes - Custom Bikes - ATV's - Clothing - Accessories - Lifestyle Products - 4-6 February 2010

You could give them a try,
Stephan

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
