Leaving London tomorrow afternoon (13th June), anyone else interested in riding together? — looking for recommendations.

I'd usually recommend Chepstow - Monmouth on the A466, across to Abergavenny and over the Gospel Pass to Hay-on-Wye. That's the minor road through Capel-y-ffin.

Given the weather, it's up to you! But both great roads on the right day...

See everyone there, rain or shine! Been looking out the office window this week but still super excited!

First in, best dressed, but if you let Susan know in advance (e-mail preferred), we'll be sure to save you a warm bed!

See you soon, Grant & Susan
I don't know what you're talking about, this is high summer

I don't mind it drizzling now and again, but is the field dry enough to stake a tent? I don't want to sink or sleep in a nylon bathtub, if it's that bad I'll nab a dorm bed!

Scratch that, A466 is closed. B4235 through Usk is a fine alternative...

What a weekend!

Thank you to Grant, Susan, all the presenters, volunteers and other travellers this weekend - I had a fab time!

I even managed to ride the whole way home to Norfolk on Sunday without getting wet!

Oh - and by the way - When I was speaking, I was asked about the news that the U S would require social media account details. Well, I needed one for later this year so applied. The question about social media is CURRENTLY OPTIONAL. I didn't enter any accounts and my application was approved in a few minutes.

Maybe a good time to get it done!

Rachel

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
