e-mailing from latin america
I've been told that the keyboard in Latin America does not have the @ key. Is there a way to type your e-mail addresses? Hopefully this is not too silly a question.

@
Yeah, we don’t use to send mails, hehehe!!!!!!!!!
It’s only a “little silly question”
In some keyboards you use “AltGr-2” = @
Or in others “AltGr-q” = @
Sorry and see you here soon

emails
Never tried Javiers's method, but I believe what he says. I press and hold "alt," then the number 6, then 4, then release all three (takes less than a second, literally. Just do it a few times). It brings up the @ sign- through Mexico, C/A and S/A. If there are 50 ways to leave your lover, there must be as many to bring up @! Enjoy your trip and visit Dakar Motos if you visit BA- what a fantastic shop & city.

@
Maybe better explanation:
Press and hold "AltGr" (the one on the right) then the number 2, or the Q (in depends the keyboard), then release all. It brings up the @ sign.
Also Alt 64 works!!

And if you can't remember any of that, copy and paste a @ from another email. Works for me.

fcasado, glad to hear Brasil has the @ symbol readily available. I'm heading to Brasil in a week or two (right Javier?). Now...shifting from Spanish to Portuguese...hmm.

Where 're you going there?
Don't worry too much about learning portuguese, you can get by with spanish and usually the brazilians will make all the effort to understand you.
All the best

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
