Hi Guys, thanks for the detailed review. We currently have our bikes on a Neptune freight ship somewhere in the Mediterrain and we were wondering of you used a Fixer once your car arrived in greece or did you do all the work yourself?
cheers
Hiya, I hope we're not too late for you! We didn't have a fixer as such in Greece, the car was offloaded and parked up ready for us to pick it up without us being there.
We did use a guy, recommended by Neptune, to do the customs paperwork for us. I am sure you could do it yourself as well, but I have to say we had become lazy by then and it was super easy with Nikos:

Email: nikos-liakris@hotmail.com
but please note he never answers emails, only takes phone calls.
It cost 60€ if I remember correctly.
Hi Guys,
Planning to take my Bike from Piraeus - Alexandria and was wondering how much it cost you in total? Would you recommend Neptune Lines for bikes?
Cheers
Hi Eddie
I've no idea what it costs to ship a bike, sorry. It can only be a lot less than the car!
Our prices were listed at the end of the post above. In total we paid €927. Of that €442 was not negotiable. For the remaining €485: Customs clearance in Piraeus would be doable without paying someone and the fixer in Egypt ... who knows. We paid the going rate from what we found online, but didn't do any research on the ground.
As we said, wouldn't really recommend them for cars, but haven't heard any problems with Neptune for bikes.
Hope it goes well for you.
Thank you for this. Much appreciated!
