Schedule:

Day one:
07 April 15
Meet at DakarMotos, discuss process and pay booking fee, quick and easy.

Day two:
09 April 15
Rode the motorcycle to the airport. It took about two hours to complete the preparation process, very straight forward and easy.
- Met Franco (Franco handles the paperwork) at 10:30 and took the moto into the prep area.
- Weigh the moto and put on a pallet.
- Disconnect battery, remove mirrors and fold down the windscreen.
(You're required to let some air out of the tires)
  - Items directly related to the moto can remain in panniers, riding gear (helmet, jacket, pants and boots) was strapped to the moto or pallet. Once, customs clears the TIP, the moto is wrapped in plastic wrap and you're finished.
-  DakarMotos will send you an email with final price for the air freight, this is paid in cash at a bank in the city center. The quoted price may vary due to the fluctuation in the, Official Exchange, rate of the peso. Minimal if any.

Day three:
10 April 15
Went to the NAVICON office downtown and got final price amount, paid the Air Freight at bank, return to NAVICON office with receipt and received airway bill. Finished.

Extra Day:
An extra business day is requested just in case something comes up.

Cape Town, South Africa:
16 April 2015
Went to the cargo area and verified the moto had arrived and was given a copy of the airway bill to take to the customs office. I was informed that I was supposed to have/hire a clearing agent however the customs lady was nice and didn't require me to have one. The whole process took about two hours, that included all the paper work, chatting, being friendly and putting the moto back together. The cost for customs handling was R270 which can only be paid by, credit card or bank deposit.
