Is it this easy?
Do I understand this correctly: If changing the suspension on a TT600RE with the suspension from a TT600R you simply take off the RE-forks and put on the R ones? Same with rear shock (take of the bad one and put on the Ohlins)? There is no more to it?

Question wr400
We have lot of wr250f and wr450f but i am not sure about wr400 and as i seen on pictures of wr 400 and 450 they have upside down forks but ttr not and will this make no diffrence in installation or do i need to change the forkheads also.and what about rear link does the shocker and spring fit to ttr rear link

Question TTR headlight
In the posts on this thread it seems to be agreed that the TTR headlight is pretty useless.

Can anyone recommend a good headlight to fit the bike? (I have read elsewhere that the Acerbis after market enduro headlight is not great either) - how do you find out about such things without actually buying one !!!!!!!!?

I have just bought one of these and I'm really enjoying it. I've never had a big single before and spotted this one on ebay. It has 17" excel supermoto rims and low profile super moto tyres.

I agree, however, that the headlamps are crap.

Obviously with these wheels it's not an obvious candidate for long distance touring but I'm using it in preference to my road bike.

The headlights are hopeless - it won't be much use to me next winter unless I can improve them a bit.

its a straight swap..ive fitted ttr600r paoili forks and ohlins rear shock from the belgarda model into my ttr600re..no problem...while I was at it I also bought new bodywork in the red.white belgarda colours as I hated the original blue/white..also fitted supermoto wheels etc..

the ttr600re NEVER came with an ohlins rear shock as standard as some popel suggest they did

? Which Front Forks Do I Have ?
Hello,

Sorry to raise this thread from so far back but I need some help and advice.

I recently purchased a Yamaha TT600R, I think ?

According to the frame number the bike is a 1997/98 model but i think its had a later engine fitted as it has electric start ?

Its fitted with an Ohlins rear shock with the remote resevoir but Im unsure of which forks are fitted, I need to change the fork seals but dont know what ones to order, the front forks appear to have adjusting screws on the top of the fork legs which I assume are for preload setting but I cant see any other adjusters, what make forks would these be and what size ?

your bike is the belgarda ttr600r but fitted with the ttr600re motor..your rear ohlins shock is standard on the belgarda..its 50mm more travel than the re rear sach shock...front fork seals are identical to both the r and re models..the r has 50mm longer forks than the re and apart from that and the internals are the same..here are links to parts manuals for the ttr600
