1. get a whole new front end off a sports bike or a top end motocrosser with fully adjustable suspension. expensive and a pain in the arse to get right, not worth it, although you will gain good brakes.
2. you can get progressive springs, £50ish
3. you slug the originals, easy with a lathe
4. put in heavier oil.
#3+4 work well, are cheapest and equal with #2 for simplicity, #1 not worth the hassle
