Personally I prefer the XT6 to a XR650R. That said the XR is much quicker off the mark than an XT6. A mate of mine rides an XR without a cush drive and it's instant blistering acceleration all the way!
The XR will also be more prone to vibration problems than an XT. If you want comfort then the XT is the way to go if you want speedy fun fun fun then XR rules...
