O2 sensor = Lambda sensor - used to indicte the amount of fuel left in the exhaust gas. Or something like that ... the EFI uses it to adjust the amount of fuel going into the motor - thus getting the best air/fuel ratio all the time .. at at least some of the time.

Ethonol has less energy than petrol .. so you will have to burn more of it to get the same performance. On my DR650 it says up to 10% ethonol is ok .. Possible draw backs (other than economy/performance) are the possiblity of it effecting rubber fuel line components, the float bowel .. I'd steer clear of it .. unless you are really forced to have it and then I'd try to get rid of it as quickly as possible.
Some comments from people in Brazil indicate that Yamahas are particulary sensitive to it .. not certian I belive it .. but that particular post ended up withthe bike having an unrelated problem .. think it run ok on the fule after the cause problem was fixed...
If you want to try it .. have the tank almost empty .. put a little in and test .. if it does not work fill tank with normal fuel and use that fuel up fairly quickly .. don't let it sit in the garage ...
