Hey mate. Keep us updated. I've got a TTR too and I'd like to know how the mounting goes, as I've been wanting to get a TrailTech too.

Works pretty good!
You need the raptor700 tachometer cable for the TT Vapour so you can read the rpm properly without any complications!
As you can see in the pictures, I did buy the shroud for the light indicators!

The coil wrap method is not the most accurate..
And if you get the kit with the Raptor 700 rpm cable you just need to plug it to the pickup coil and get perfect readings!
(Because the raptor 700 pickup coil is the exact same one as the XT600E)

I've just fitted a Koso CRB guage to my XT and everything apart from the rev counter has been easy to install and set up. That could be down to my installation though - I've connected it to the coil which the instructions say is the least reliable method. I'm going to try figure out how to attach it to the pick up sensor which apparently gives a better signal. Apart from this I would highly recommend it.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
