no problem getting it registered. ( i dont have 8 posts yet!) they had a little trouble reading the old numbers on the engine but they got it. you must make sure the bike is older than 30 years to qualify as an antique. or else you'll need an import license. thats only $50,000!!
i have had it now for 5 years in florida and all is well.
your biggest trouble will be getting the bike registered/titled into your name in india.probably fake documents would work as no one in usa will have a clue as to what the real thing looks like. but, when i applied in fla, i had to send my indian title to tallahassee(state capital) and it is gone. there is no way to get it back ever again. i made copies for myself though.
