Indian e-Visa overland

Hi all, I am checking the requirements to get a Indian Visa for more than 30 days and I have a few questions. As far as I see, then E-Visa needs a port of entry and needs to be an airport, but I am entering the country from Lahore in Pakistan, so I am not sure if that really works?

If I try to apply for a regular Visa application, it seems that it doesn't work:

https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/info1.jsp

As soon as I select UK it says that only visas to UK nationals are issued and I'm Spanish. I really thought than India visa was straight forward.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

As far as I am aware the e-visa is only for 30 days stay and requires you to enter via an airport, you might need to go to Islamabad and visit the embassy or whatever agency they use in Pakistan. Indian visas have not been straight forward for a while.

Thanks! Let's see if someone else know more. I contacted them though to see if there is any chance to do the visa from here. Otherwise I will have to collect it from Spain.

I went today and it seemed quite straight forward, you need to provide utility bills for 2 years.

However, the visa is valid from the date of issue, which for me is a big deal because I am planning to enter India in December and leaving UK in September, so I will have 3 months wasted.

It would be interesting to know if it is at all possible to get the Visa in Pakistan but I doubt it.
