I have used Wicked Ride a couple of times in Bangalore. I rented from the Whitefield office.

Couple of things you need to know.

1. They are not really used to dealing with Foreigners but you can navigate that buy getting the right person on the phone. Once you are at their office it's all good...but booking over the website just doesn't work unless you have an India CC and phone number. Just call them and arrange it.

2. You will need an International license (or I did anyway from Australia) and a colour photocopy of your passport..no idea why but there you go.

3. The helmets they provide are...well...shall we say very very ordinary...if you can bring your own it's a much better option.

4. My Australian Credit Card for some reason simply does not work in their EFT machine. So I have to make sure I have enough cash (in Rupees not $) to pay for the hire in full. This has happened both times I hired.

5. They have a speed limit on rentals and DO enforce it. They say there is a GPS on every bike...who knows...maybe...regardless for an enfield it's like 100kph which frankly is suicide speed in India anyway.

All that said....these guys are by far the easiest to deal with I have found.

Now IMHO you do not need a guide for India. It's all tea plantations and tiger reserves down that way. There is lots of local tourists and everyone speaks English on the most part so accomodation and getting around is easy enough. Go it alone and make it a real adventure of it I say.
