Pixie and jkrijt
jkrijt, thanks for the link. That will be some good reading material to have over the coming weeks.
In your opinion is Oslo to Bodo and back again do-able?
Also if there were a couple of things 'Not to miss' what would advise to do or see?
Pixie, you say you're jealous. Over the past couple of years i've just been reading other riders tales on here and been jealous of them, especially the RTW trips

I went from my home in the Netherlands to the Northcape and back in 12 days so, yes, it is do-able but it depents on how much you want to ride on a day. I was traveling alone so I did not had to stop very often and love riding all day.
To be honest, next time I would take more time for sightseing then I did this time.

The scenery is the most beautifull part of Norway and I enjoyed visiting the Gearranger fjord, Trollstigen, Trontheim and the Lofoten very much as you will see when you read my trip report.
It can be usefull to visit some sites about Norway tourism like http://www.visitnorway.com/

Thanks everyone
Thanks for all the replies.
Goggle maps and ride reports at the ready then;.)
Now looks like we might try and get as far as Lofoten.
Plenty to think about, thanks again.

Thanks for the PM Linzi
Sorry Linzi, I can't reply to your pm as I have less than 5 posts, but thanks for the advice and will be reading over the next couple of weeks.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
