Hello from Manchester, England

Hello,

New to site so thought I would firstly say hello to all you good people.

Currently planning first trip into Europe with my son.
The plan is to take overnight ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. From Rotterdam to Trento Italy in about 3 days. Meet some friends in the Dolomites, climb a mountain and then head back home.
Any advice would be welcome especially on best routes through Germany.

Many thanks
Be safe
Jase

You can pick up the B500 in the Black Forest from a place called Baden-Baden head towards Lichtental and keep going, its a great road. It used to end at a junction with a disused hotel on it, the hotel used to be called Alexanderschanz, the road then becomes the 28, i think. Then head towards Rottweil (home of the dog) From there you could drop down towards Stockach then follow the road long the northern edge of Lake Konstanz through Meersburg.
Once at the end of the Lake you can head south and towards the Alps.
Glorenza is a really nice, old, walled town in the Italian Alps and Bolzano had a really nice square in the town with cafe bars so you can sit and chill

Hope it gives you a few ideas

Wayne

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
