Hello!! :)

well..
hello!
i'm a new member of the HU community, motorcycle community, and yamaha xt600 community...
many new things for me!
basically... i'm from slovenia... never really owned my own motorcycle (except for one old tomos apn6 which are pretty common where i live - slovenia).
and so i bought myself a first bike literally couple of days ago...
Yamaha xt600 tenere!!
i went to one guy that was selling it with many more motorcycles (i would guess more than 50) and he talked and talked and showed us many things and before i knew it i was home with my new bike...

Yamaha xt600 3aj motor + (plastic parts + headlights which dont fit the 1vj frame that the motor was mounted on)

it was supposed to run nice which it doesnt really... and so now i am on a journey... a true novice trying to bring life to my new old partner! i am sure it can be done but just please be patient if you see some odd questions on this forum from me... it might happen that dont really know what i am talking about sometimes because i really dont know much about motorcycles but i am learning!

anyways!

nice to be here, hello to everyone and greetings from slovenia!

Matej

Hi Matej!
Me and my '93 BMW have gotten closer and closer during the last months as I worked on it, learning a ton in the process and getting more excited about traveling, taking the bike to far away places.

I hope your xt is doing great and you've found people with experience on the subject. Without that I would've had no idea where to start (even changing a spark plug...).

I'm thinking of doing some offroading in Slovenia soon, would be great to have someone there who knows the good spots!

Let's keep in touch!

Hi Falko!

Nice to read that you're planning to come and ride to slovenia... i can definitely hook you up with someone who knows some nice spots for driving and stuff...

I don't have a driving licence yet but i can maybd connect you to someone that has more experience in open roads. Obviously i know my ways around the main roads for now

Drive long and prosper!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
