Greetings from a French in India who try to get home

Hi
Olivier. 48.
Owner of a RE 500. Wanted to buy one in India (country where I traveled a lot) and go back riding to France
It was not possible but I decided to bring my own motorbike there (India) and go back to France riding
I planned to bypass Pakistan (no visa) and go to Iran by boat. Then Iran decided to ban big engine...
So, I will go to Himalaya with my bike then go back to New Delhi, then airship my bike to Armenia/Georgia/Azerbaijan And ride trough south of Russia / Ukraine / Romania / Hungary / Austria / Switzerland and France

There have been a lot of reports very recently stating that the rules are now being enforced. In fact, there's one such report just eight or ten posts below this one at the moment: https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hu...ng-bikes-98256 . For more, see the (infuriatingly disorganized) Facebook group.

All subject to change, of course.

The Horizons Unlimited group. I don't like the way Facebook groups organize information and I don't check in there much, but there's lots of fresh information there.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
