G'Day HUBBers

Hello HUBBers!

Great website!

I have gathered a heap of great info and stacks of inspiration from the huge amount of posts and stories shared by you all so thanks for that!

My name is Tom and this is my Rig

She is a Suzuki Sierra SJ70

We have a pretty tight bond happening since I bought her earlier this year. Every time I look at her I see freedom!!!!

The little beauty is going to take me on some wild adventures if all goes well. Plan is Sydney to Europe and beyond with a few if, buts and maybes on the finance side of things. 1st goal is 8 months through Indo starting July.

I had originally planned to do the trip on two wheels but have decided that with surfboards and photography equipment, life will be much easier on 4.

I have some mods and fix ups planned for her so will start a build page soon.....

Cheers

SZ

Nice car. I used to ride one of these for years and loved it.
Some day I will buy a little Suzuki again !

Perhaps if you load all the gear to one side, you may be still able to achieve two wheel travel & save rubber
Enjoy your prep time. Look forward to reading about your travels

My girl does not ride dirt bikes ... but in Baja at our friends house we get to borrow his Suzuki Side Kick. What a great and capable jeep. Way better than the huge lumbering monsters most have. We love it and have gone into DEEP Desert with it many times.

We take it slow and easy and have never had an issue. These are cheap here in California.

Hey Bucket 1960 and Mollydog

I'm definitely looking at saving costs where ever I can so driving on two wheels sounds like a good $$$$ saver. Will have to get practicing

Yeah I haven't done a lot of off road driving with the Zook yet but have done stacks of research and they seem to be very capable and reliable little 4x4. Great to hear it from another first hand user.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
