Android trouble February 2016

Is anyone else having trouble with HUBB on Android?

The site keeps crashing on me.

I suspect it's my tablet (which is so old it came with commandments chiseled in the back) but wanted to check no one else is having trouble.

Oddly the "Other" bike travel website isn't giving hassle (yet).

Cheers

Andy

Nothing has been changed in some time, so there isn't likely to be an effect from the site. reallybigtruck has the right idea.
Everyone is now running different software, so hard to compare one site with another anymore.

Thumbs up

Thank You Gentlemen

With only 512 MB Ram, of which half is needed to run Chrome and the rubbish Samsung won't let you kill I have to clear the cache hourly!

My wifes tablet (same age and low power) has the same issue. Hitting the X to stop the time out as it tries to load the animations on the main topic list keeps it going, but I have a newer one on order and will then be able to experiment with rooting the old beast to get rid of the bloatware.

If I don't brick it (this is possibly not the exact term I'm looking for) it'll be fun to see just how it performs bike mounted.

Cheers

That's exactly the right term, and one you really don't want to experience! Good luck with it.

Also try UC Browser

It's a little lighter weight and works very well.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
