Vehicle prep vlogs?

Hi all,

I'm going to be overlanding in north/west Africa quite a bit in the next few years - shorter trips rather than the 3 year west/east coast marathon I did previously.
I'm preparing a complete internal rebuild for my 1991 200 TDI Defender along with some potential addition kit/mechanical upgrades if they appear sound and valuable.

A lot of my current research has been via youtube, but wondering if I'm missing any informative channels for for vehicle preparations, equipment, information etc?
So please add to the list any you feel are worth watching (websites too)......

Some I've found useful so far are:
Ronny Dahl - Western Australia

Brett, Australia - Roaming the Outback

Land Rover Toolbox

I am now on my second trip with a second built vehicle. And I keep getting back to the question of what do you really need?
Almost always, including myself, people take too much stuff. And a lot of time the stuff that fails is what people have added.

Where can't you get with a 4x4 with a mattress in the back and a bottle of water?

So don't make things complicated. It will cost you time and money that you could otherwise spend on the trip.

The basic stuff of a solar panel and a small compressor fridgebox is not that hard, and you could add a filter to your watertank.
Smaller trip mean that small cooking setups with gas patterns are already good enough.

Around Africa - as you'd get malaria for starters

I agree, always challenge if you really need something, then keep challenging it. Horses for courses.... we all travel differently in different places.

Now, back to the original request.... vlogs?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
