Vladivostok to France by truck or rail

Dear All,
I'm planning to ride my motorcycle from France to Vladivostok.
From there, I'm looking for a shipment back, by truck or rail, from Vladivostok to France (Or somewhere else in Europe)
Do you have any experiences to share? Any -good- contacts to provide me?
Thanks in advance,
Konrad.

Does it have to travel back overland? Wouldn't it be cheaper to get it back by ship?

Hello Lovetheworld, as you can read and think, the way of transportation does not matter anyway. Just the service and the price is the question!

If you have can make an explicit offer, please contact me and Konrad. We will be very happy to hear from you

Yours

Axel

I don't know, we will take the DBS Ferry to Japan.

But in Vladivostok they mention the name of shipping agent Yuri a lot. Don't know of any contact details, but maybe he could help you guys further.

Vladivostok rail freight

Hello All
I have received an email from russianrailways.com stating car/bike transport from Vladivostok headed west can be arranged at the station. Certainly to Moscow and probably beyond.
Cheers
Mark

Update

The freight department has informed me they do not have freight carriages out of Vladivostok. Many other towns in Russia but not Vladivostok.

easiest (and cheapest) way is to ship the bike from Vladivostok back to Moscow by railroad, it'll take 12 - 20 thousands RUB and about 1-3 weeks.
And there's short ride from Moscow back to EU :-)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
