Shipping from Australia to Stockholm or Copenhagen

Hi Everyone,

First time on this forum, looking to ship a bike from Australia (Melbourne) to either Stockholm or Copenhagen around June 2019. Will ride around Scandinavia, plan on leaving bike in storage and then flying back with 12 months pick up and continue on into Eastern Europe.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this and can provide some details re shipping options, insurance, paperwork, costs.

Thanks in Advance!

Your post is pretty old and you may have given up waiting but try Ivan at Bikes Abroad

He got mine to London for $1600 all up including UK clearance.
This was in March 2018. Bike arrived end of May
I originally wanted to send to Spain and ride to Morocco but ended riding to Turkey. I left my bike in Bulgaria and will return toward the end of March and ride it some more.....

Had a ball!

Good luck

Hi David,

have contacted Ivan and all seems good save that he is asking me for a cane which I didn't think I needed for EU? Did you have to get one to get your bike into UK?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
