Shipping from Europe to Southeast Asia by air

Hello all, newbie here

Looking for possibilitie to airship my bike from Europe to Southeast Asia for my 8 month return adventure back home. I am located in Finland, but ready to ship my bike out from basicly anywhere from Europe if neccessary (looking for cheapest option). My optimal shipping destination would be Bali, but other locations will do too. Also, has anyone shipped their bike out of Bali to Europe (consider this option as well, and for this, ocean freight will do also). Any recommendations? Thanks!

good afternoon
the costs for airfreight are incredible high actually, maybe an oceanfreight would be an option for you as well? send me an email and we could discuss further

best regards
Olaf

OP posted in Feb 20, just before the pandemic got going... at that point I would have said, arrange to put the bike in the cargo hold of a Finnair charter flight. Now, of course... hope for sea freight.

Hello, Happy New Year everyone!
Unfortunately I don't have the answer, but I am looking for a freight forwarder myself to pack and ship my motorcycle from France to Japan by air at the end of March - beginning of April 2023. (Regarding a shipment by sea, this seems too complicated to me: are the crossings regular? how long? at what time? who will be able to store the motorcycle on arrival?...).
Best regards,
Gilles
Cordialement,
Gilles

Air France and JAL fly direct from Paris to Tokyo. I guess, start with Air France Cargo?

Out of curiousity, why ship your bike to Japan? How long do you intend to stay there with it, and where do you intend to go from there?

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
