Sea/Air Frieight Panama to Ireland

I'm finishing up a trip from LA to Panama this week and I'm finding it impossible to get reasonable or any quotes for the shipping. James Cargo, in fairness, came back quickly with a quote but it's eye wateringly high for air freight. They're telling me that sea freight is the same price.

I'd appreciate any advice on shipping from Panama to Ireland .

Hi Keith, am planning to ship from London to Anchorage Alaska next year. Have had contact with a company called motofreight. They seem reasonable plus they also ship from CA & SA.

International Motorcycle Shipping and Transport - Moto Freight

I am based in Amsterdam (am Irish) they suggested me driving the bike to London (Heathrow) & they would do the rest. They seem to have a good name. They also specialized in bike shipping ...... at least that is what they say.

Maybe also an option to ship to England or Europe & drive back to Ireland.

Anyways good luck & let us know what happened. Gonna be in Ireland for a couple of weeks second half of August.

Hello,

go to the airport in Panama and ask the air freight companies there. For 2000 Euro you should get the bike back to England. The transport for a GS1200ADV from Germany to Bogota costs 1700 Euro.

Regards

Mike

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
